Thank you for your interest in reading my reviews. Each one is on a separate page within this category prior to December 13, 2010. From that date on, I’ll also be posting my reviews on the main thread of my blog.
I’ve reviewed books for Thomas Nelson Publishers and for WaterBrook Multnomah. The books from both Thomas Nelson and WaterBrook Multnomah are provided to me for free from the publishers. I do not get paid for reviewing them, and am not obligated to give a good review of the free books. Whatever I say about them is my personal opinion, and I will always tell my readers what I honestly think about these books.
Occasionally I’ll review a book I bought or borrowed from the library and think my blog readers might like. Nobody pays me for those reviews either.
I hope you will browse through all my reviews, and let me know if you’d like further information regarding any of them.

Why don’t they pay you? Do you try to sell your reviews to magazines or newspapers? It seems like they should/could pay you for your work.
Hi, Jane. Many of the books I’ve reviewed were given to me free of charge in exchange for providing an honest review. This arrangement allows me to read books I wouldn’t normally purchase, so I don’t mind not getting paid. Since I don’t get paid, however, I limit the books I review to those I truly think I will enjoy.
