In Storm Warnings, Reverend Graham gives insights into the Bible’s prophecies concerning God’s final judgment of the world. He analyzes the vision of the 4 horsemen sent as messengers to warn of impending disaster, correlating them to events we face now. He explains the significance of the white horse of deception and secularism; the red horse of war and violence; the black horse of famine and pestilence; and the pale horse of death, which foreshadows the coming of the Lord.
We are currently facing many of the terrible events the prophets predicted, and they are occurring with greater intensity than at any other time in our history. There are prophecies yet to be fulfilled, but the signs are clear that God will not tolerate the world’s sinfulness much longer. When the antichrist rises to power, the full wrath of God will descend upon us. He will then send Christ to vanquish evil and establish his kingdom on earth.
Despite the dire warnings, the message of hope through salvation in Christ is the overriding theme of this book. Reverend Graham says that God warns of what is to come in an effort to change the hearts and minds of mankind. We are told to prepare ourselves for Christ’s return through repentance and prayer, to refrain from sin, and to show compassion for all people. The intervention of the Messiah will prevent the annihilation of the human race, and he will establish a new world order in accordance with God’s plans for us.
This is an excellent book, with a powerful message. It is easy to understand as Reverend Graham supports his points with examples and vivid imagery. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the prophecies of the Bible, and to those searching for a message of hope for the future.
